About Us

We are currently Living in Glebe, Sydney, just outside the CBD. Have been for about 6 years. We moved here from the coast - Coogee, and intend to move back to the coast (South) it is much cooler! Slowly renovating the house with a view to selling and going onto the next one. Back injury put a stop to that for now!
I came out to Australia on and off in the mid 80's with a view to emigrate which I finally did in 1988, Having grown bored of sitting behind a desk at the Maidenhead (Magnet) Leisure centre. Though I have to say I loved the job and enjoyed the social life, now in my middle age I wish I was still doing it. Maidenhead isn't such a bad place afterall, seen a lot worse.
Perhaps it's the views like the ones below that stop me returning.

The purpose of this web site is mainly to record what I can about the Atkins Family etc, now that we have the internet we might as well use it for whoever wants to research this branch of the family. In addition it is a means of contact for either Bernadette or myself/family.
